Ed of Ed Schenider Roofing in Boca Raton, Florida offered Arnold a roofing job as he needed to work his way through University. The work was hard but college tuition had to be paid. Ed confessed that many days he thought he had seen the last of this "college kid." But Arnold kept showing up to work in the hot Florida sun and sometimes rain every time. Ed was impressed and took a keen interest in teaching him about buildings and roofing and sometimes life: how God saved him --with tears in his eyes-- from being a drunk to owning his own roofing business and doing well. Even after University with two degrees, and some accomplishments in other careers Arnold Thompson never stopped working the construction field. He started a little handyman operation Handyman and More. The more he worked for people the more others would call on him for more than roofing. Now there was no place else to go but down. Down to the ceiling, the walls, the infrastructure and the foundation. Since then Arnold has worked with BEWN Construction in the last decade. The owner Bill Griffin like Ed taught Arnold building from the ground up. He later encouraged Arnold to get certified as a General Contractor, which he did. and so began THE BOTTOM LINE CONSTRUCTION, and the custom quality homes that is created from experience THOMPSON HOMES.
